Registering repositories

Minder manages your GitHub repositories, and monitors them to ensure that they maintain the security profile that you've defined in your profiles. As the first step of the repository registration process, Minder will display a dialog asking whether to all current and future repositories or selected repositories only.

All current and future repositories

If you select all repositories, Minder will start registering them in the background. Any newly created repository will be auto-registered as well. Note that in this case, a registered repository cannot be unregistered.

Selected repositories only

  1. Minder will display the list of repositories that you've granted it access to in GitHub. You can browse this list or search to find the repositories that you want to manage with Minder.

  2. Click "Register" next to the repository's name to begin monitoring the repository. When you register a repository, Minder will also add a webhook to the repository to be notified of changes. This allows Minder to evaluate your security policy on changes immediately after they're made.

  3. You can also click "Unregister" to stop monitoring that repository. Any security policies that you define in Minder will not be applied to this repository.

When you have registered the repositories that you want to manage, click Finish. When you have finished registering repositories, you will need to create a profile.
